What People Are Saying
Sarah has a way of walking into a room of strangers and eliminating any discomfort, hesitation, or stigma surrounding the discussion of mental health. It's a rare thing for somebody to change the way individuals think about mental health in one short session as I have seen Sarah do time and time again.
Ian Matheson, PhD Candidate and Graduate Teaching Fellow, Queen's University
As a graduate student and one of the co-founders of the Education Students' Mental Health Initiative, I've collaborated and worked closely with Sarah on mental health and wellness initiatives over the past 3 years at the Faculty of Education, Queen's University. A few initiatives include our end of year "Revive and Thrive" Wellness Day at the Faculty of Education, Mental Health Awareness days such as Bell Let's Talk, and a three-part Mental Health Workshop offered to concurrent education students and teacher candidates in their program. With a focus on the education community, Sarah has played a pivotal role in the vision and implementation of our on-campus initiatives and connecting our campus with Queen's and local community organizations.
Jessican Chan, PhD Candidate and Co-founder of the Education Students' Mental Health Initiative, Queen's University
Sarah's open and unique way of discussing mental health related concerns really puts students at ease. She is calm, caring and practical in her approach and they speak very highly of her.
